The Belarusian player ended the year with an notable 23-3 Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive season.

The twenty-seven-year-old captured four titles – the most on tour – which included retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of Consistency

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka played in a tour-best nine finals, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the whole season as the world number one, ending 2025 atop the rankings for a second successive year.

In July, she became the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Record-Breaking Statistics

Sabalenka ended the season with a 63-12 win-loss record, and collected a record £11m in earnings.

She received almost 80% of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "raise women's tennis to a higher level".
