Barcelona to Host Inaugural Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.
